We were standing on the western side of the Jardins du Trocadero just at the corner of the Palais de Chaillot looking in a south easterly direction down the wide path, which is also an access point for garden maintenance crews and this leads down to the Avenue des Nations Unies.

This particular path is right by the border of the Trocadero Gardens on the western side, and as you can see, there are several mature trees of different varieties, along with hedges before you reach an open grass area, yet far further on you would end up getting to the River Seine.
