This is a view looking in a south easterly direction down into a part of the Jardins du Trocadero, which is next to the north western corner of the gardens, with its immense greenery and the winding pathway running alongside.

You will find that the Trocadero Gardens were first laid out for the 1878 World Fair in Paris by Jean-Charles Alphand, who specialised in designing many gardens and features around Paris, yet they were completely redone for the 1937 Universal Exhibition, and incorporated an English style of informal garden on the sloping site.
