HD photograph from southern side of Jardins du Trocadero looking north easterly - Page 30
There are numerous different monuments in Paris and this one dedicated to Polish fighters in World War II has a very long official name of Monument aux combattants Polonais morts pour la defense et la Liberation de la France 1939 - 1945, which has been placed within the Jardins du Trocadero.

So this is a view looking in a north easterly direction while we were standing on a pathway at the very bottom of Trocadero Gardens southern side, and for more of an idea as to its location, to the right hand side of the image you can just see the Avenue de New York, which is before you would reach the River Seine, but the eastern side of the Trocadero Gardens is to the left.
