HD photograph from south west corner of Jardins du Trocadero looking south east - Page 29
This is a view from the south west corner of the gardens, looking in a south easterly direction over a part of the Jardins du Trocadero with its sweeping path and plenty of trees, which provided us with a picture frame view towards the Eiffel Tower on the opposite bank of the River Seine.

It was actually back when Napoleon III was Emperor that some of the areas that were not classed as truly in Paris were annexed to the city and the Prefect of the Seine, Baron Haussmann implemented many changes including creating the Place du Trocadero. However with the Franco-Prussian War and the downfall of Napoleon III, areas such as the Trocadero Gardens were not completed until afterwards.
