Positioned on eastern side of the grass right next to the Trocadero Fountain, also known as the Fountain of Warsaw, there are several of these stone plaques, which read: Lawns and baths are prohibited. Risk of accidents when the cannons are put into service.

In other words, you are advised to keep clear of the fountain and its water basins when the twenty water cannons of the largest fountain water feature in Paris are operating, although we have seen plenty of people extremely close on different occasions when we have been there, so it seems that many people do not heed the warnings.
