There are numerous different winding pathways found within the Trocadero Gardens, which were originally laid out for the 1878 World Fair in Paris when the Palais du Trocadero was also constructed, and this became a popular area for taking a stroll and promenading.

So this is a view looking in an northerly direction along a pathway in the south eastern corner of the Jardins du Trocadero, which is close to the Avenue de New York and the River Seine in the 16th Arrondissement on the opposite bank to the Champ de Mars.
