This is a view looking towards the Eiffel Tower in a south easterly direction from one of the two small square basins that contain bronze statues, with this one being the Bull and Deer, which were designed for the new Trocadero Fountain when the gardens were re-laid out.

The Trocadero Gardens were redesigned by the architect Roger-Henri Expert assisted by Adolphe Thiers and Paul Maitre for the 1937 World Fair in Paris, which had a full name of Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne.
