Meandering paths along with flower beds and borders of bushes in an almost haphazard design combined with trees randomly planted in green spaces are a theme that the French took on after this style of gardening was first introduced into the UK, and hence it is referred to as an English styled Garden.

So this is a view looking at a small section in the south westerly area of the Trocadero Gardens showing this informal style, which was re-laid out in 1937 for the Universal Exhibition in Paris, and the Jardins du Trocadero are actually on top of old quarries and on a sloping site known as the Hill of Chaillot.
