HD photographs of the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin Gardens in Parc de Bercy Paris
While visiting the 12th Arrondissement in Paris, we decided to spend some time looking around Parc de Bercy, which turned out to have much more to offer than we first thought, and as you will see from these high definition photos of the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin gardens inside the park, it is also a very beautiful and relaxing place to visit.

It all started when the city of Paris wanted to celebrate the year 2000 in style, but with a major emphasis on peace, which is why the Wall for Peace was erected, and this water feature looking like a canal was a part of these celebrations, yet in memory of a Yitzhak Rabin who won the Nobel Peace Prize.

As you will no doubt see from these photos of the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin, there are a lot of different areas that have all been laid out as different gardens, and in this image you can see a more formal garden called the Jardin des Senteurs with its square borders and flower beds, but still with plenty of grass to relax on a nice day.

Here you can see people enjoying the summer water pergola at the lake of the Pavillon du Lac, which is located within the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin, which is yet another tranquil area of the gardens that were designed to promote feelings of peace.

This is a photo we took showing the popularity of the grass areas for sunbathing and relaxing with friends within the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin, and this particular garden area is next to the Jardin du Philosophe and also runs alongside another water feature within the Parc de Bercy.

Again you can see another water feature, and this time it is of a Lilly pond, and as you can see in this image, there is a rather unusual large stone statue in it, which is called Demeure X, that was part of a series of sculptures produced by Etienne Martin and this one is now within the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin.

View of the canal style water feature on the south east side of Jardin Yitzhak Rabin
This is a photo we took showing a different part of the canal style water feature in the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin, which is a popular place for families to take a stroll or just relax on the grass, but if you look closely to either side on the sloping banks you will see staircases like you will see in another image, that takes you to a different part of the Parc de Bercy where this garden is situated.

Now this is yet another garden area within the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin called the Les Treilles and as you can see in this photo, there is a nice area to sit and relax amidst the plants and the trellis area.

The Jardin Yitzhak Rabin is the largest garden in Paris dedicated to a foreign person, which has many different design features, and in this photo you can see one of the walkways with the potted plants perched on a wall of the Potager section of the gardens.

The garden Yitzhak Rabin was designed to promote peace and tranquillity, and in this photo we took you can see how water played a big role in generating the serenity of this area of the garden, which was named after the first president of Israel who won the Nobel Peace Prize.

You can also find two covered walkways with vines and other plants growing over them, and these run alongside the eastern canal water feature you saw in the previous image, which is a very tranquil place to wander through while discovering the different areas within the Yitzhak Rabin gardens.

Now this is a photo we took looking towards an unusual sculpture found in the lake around Pavillon du Lac in the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin, and it looks more like a leaning Eiffel Tower, than anything else, and this is just one of the many unusual features you can discover within these gardens of Parc de Bercy.

Whether you are on a lunch break, wishing to enjoy a picnic or looking to take a romantic stroll, the meandering paths dotted with park benches, just like this pathway in the La Vallee area of the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin, are absolutely perfect with the numerous varieties of trees and other flora you can enjoy at the same time.

Here you can see the Potager garden area with its red brick building behind called Chai de Bercy, and in this photograph we took you can see some of the different vegetable plots of this place that is also located within the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin in the Parc de Bercy.

As we have mentioned before Yitzhak Rabin was a Nobel Peace Prize winner, but he was unfortunately assassinated, and when the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin in Paris was inaugurated, his son and daughter were there along with Simon Peres who was one of the other Nobel Peace Prize winners plus many other dignitaries.
This photo shows the Orangerie building in the Verger section of the Yitzhak Rabin gardens
Orangeries have been around for centuries in Paris, just like the building that was constructed in the Tuileries Gardens that is now home to a museum, and this photo shows a modern Orangerie to house orange trees within the Verger section of the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin.

Also within the Yitzhak Rabin Garden located in Parc de Bercy, you can discover a round lake that is home to turtles and koi carp, and as you can see in this photograph, the turtles also have purpose build homes sitting in the middle of the lake, and this is part of the Pavillon du Lac, which is the building you can see that is now also home to the Agence Parisienne du Climat.

The Yitzhak Rabin garden has been designed with two different parts within the Parc de Bercy and covers a large area with numerous features, and this is a photo we took looking at one of the staircases tucked in between the bushes that takes you over the Rue Joseph Kessel to the south east side of the gardens.

The Jardin Yitzhak Rabin was designed by several different landscape artists and this photo shows one of the canal water features with what looks like a bridge going over it, but in fact this is where the water meets the Rue Joseph Kessel road that travels through Parc de Bercy, and on the other side, still within the gardens, this water feature continues on.

We took this photograph showing the opposite side of the canal water feature that meets the Rue Joseph Kessel road, which is in the south east part of the Yitzhak Rabin gardens, and as you can see this part has an artificial island planted with many different varieties of shrubs.

Now just to try and help anyone who is confused, the Parc de Bercy in Paris is a public park with lots of different attractions, and inside this park you have the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin, which covers about 50% of the whole park, but you then have different garden areas inside the Jardin Yitzhak Rabin as well, OK!
