HD photographs of the Jardin de la Treille vineyard inside Parc de la Villette in Paris
This time we were visiting the Parc de la Villette in the 19th Arrondissement of Paris, when we took these high definition photos showing one of the themed landscaped garden areas within this large public park called Jardin de la Treille, which is home to different plants including wine producing grape vines.

This is a photo we took looking at the set of steps going into the Jardin de la Treille, which basically translates to Garden of the Trellis, and this is one of the themed garden areas located within the Parc de la Villette, which is situated in the 19th Arrondissement of Paris

Here you can see a photograph showing a part of the Jardin de la Treille, and as you can see there is a mesh netting canopy located on top of the trellis work to allow the creepers and vines to grow across more easily, and with hedges on the perimeter along with different walkways, these are some of the different features you can see within this themed garden area.

Within the Parc de la Villette you can find many different walkways, some way above ground, and this is one we took a photo of within the Jardin de la Treille, which translates in English to Trellis Garden, where you can get close to the tops of vines and creepers going along the trellis that was put in place well over two decades ago.

There are around eight different themed gardens in the Parc de la Villette ranging from the Jardin du Dragon and the Jardin des Bambous, but the one you can see in this picture is called the Jardin de la Treille that was designed by Gilles Vexlard, and elements designed by Jean-Max Albert and Laurence Vacherot.

In this image you can see some of the different design aspects of the Jardin de la Treille, which were incorporated by Gilles Vexlard back in 1988, including the unusual steps going from one level to the other of this trellis garden with its grape vines growing overhead.

Even though you do not think of Paris as a city that has grape vines, there are areas that were dedicated to these in the past, and although this is a more recent addition, the vineyard you can seen in this photo, is a trellis vine aspect that produced approximately 250 bottles of wines for the partners and employees of Parc de la Villette where it is located.

In this HD photo of the Jardin de la Treille you can see numerous terracotta pots along with a trellis work and different plants including creepers and grape vines, and this is one of several themed gardens within the Parc de la Villette that you can discover, which is located on the inner perimeter of the walkway called the Allee du Cercle on the opposite side of the Canal du l'Ourcq to the Geode.

It took a few years for the vines to grow enough to produce grapes for harvesting, but now this trellis style vineyard you can see in this photo is producing crops each year, and once harvested, the bottles of wine produced are distributed to partners and employees of this cultural park in Paris where the Jardin de la Treille is located.

There are actually around 90 small fountains within the Jardin de la Treille that were designed by Laurence Vacherot, and have an unusual design so that you only really hear the murmur of these positioned in between the grape vines, rather than actually seeing them, which are hidden under the concrete pathways you can see in this image.

Now to visit this working vineyard inside the Jardin de la Treille for yourself, it is located along Allee du Cercle inside Parc de la Villette in the 19th Arrondissement of Paris, and the nearest Metro stations are either the Porte de la Villette or the Porte de Pantin stops plus the bus numbers 75 and 151 will also get you here.
