On a lovely summers day with crystal clear blue skies, we took this photo showing the main facade of the sumptuous palace style Hotel de Ville facing onto the Place de l'Hotel de Ville, which is the city hall that first had its construction started in the 1500s, and then was completely reconstructed in the 1800s after it was destroyed during the Paris Commune, which is what you can get to see today with its several hundred statues, sculptures and other elements.
