Chateau de Monfreville Basse-Normandie
Chateau de Monfreville in Basse Normandie is a family run French campsite in an extremely rural setting where they grow their own vegetables that you can purchase, plus it has a small holding with ducks, chickens, sheep, a donkey, etc, so for this reason, pets are not allowed on site, but it is ideal for those of you that want to be back in touch with nature, peace and tranquillity.
There are only pitches for tents available, which are set around a lovely lake and overlooking a natural park, although there is a converted barn and B&B available if you do not feel like being under canvas and the facilities are all within the small Chateau itself, like a washing up area, a fridge, etc, but they do have a hot tub, outdoor games and cycles you can utilise, along with a library come book exchange and BBQ area, yet children are also more than welcome and they can even help collect the free range eggs or feed the animals.
