Camping Indigo Parc des Oiseaux now called Camping Le Nid du Parc
Camping Indigo Parc des Oiseaux now Camping Le Nid du Parc in the Rhone-Alpes region of France, basically translates to Bird park, which is located within walking distance to one of the first bird parks in Europe where you can experience numerous species from all over the world such as pelicans, vultures, cockatoos and more.
But also this French campsite is only 500m from the local village and within the Dombes area known as the thousand lakes, they have a total of 200 pitches bordering on a river that are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Electric hook-ups are available at 10amp although we would like to point out that you may well need a European adaptor, plus there are fully equipped tents to rent if you do not have your own touring van or tent.
Activities on this campsite in France include volleyball, table tennis and next to the campsite there is a swimming pool which is free for campers to utilise along with a kids club and organised childrens activities in high season. Services include a restaurant with takeaway service and breakfasts available, a bar, internet access point and refurbished sanitary facilities, so you will be able to relax in comfort, especially after a hectic day exploring the area.
