Kawan Village La Grande Tortue In Centre
Kawan Village La Grande Tortue has a total of 129 touring pitches that range in size from 100m squared up to an impressive 200m squared and include 20 deluxe fully serviced pitches that have electric hook-ups at 10amp along with water and drainage connections, which means that this campsite is suitable for large rigs and RVs as well. In addition, there are also plots with mobile homes to rent and chalets to rent including one that is 60m squared on two stories, like a small house.
This French campsite is suitable for the disabled with wheelchair access throughout the site as of 2012 even the swimming pool complex will be accessible, and as well as disabled facilities there are those dedicated to babies and children.
Other facilities on this well kept and impressive campsite in France include WiFi available throughout the site, a well stocked shop that has international newspapers and a fresh bread service, a launderette, bar, restaurant that serves traditional French cuisine, a pizzeria and a takeaway service along with a snack bar. Yet, something that you may not have thought about, but can make your camping holiday in France even more relaxing and like staying at a hotel, is the fact that you could also choose to have breakfast, half board or even full board.
This is also one of the very few French campsites that not only does cycle hire, but if you have a motorhome or no means or transport you can also rent a car, if you wish to go a little further afield and experience some of the history and culture of the incredible Centre region in France.
Anyway, let us take a look at the activities on offer for a family camping holiday before we even think about going off this campsite! To start with, Camping La Grande Tortue is situated by an 800 hectare forest, which is ideal for walks and nature trails, plus there is a swimming pool complex with covered heated swimming pool, outdoor pool and childrens pool, plus new for 2012 there is a Jacuzzi, sauna, waterslides and disabled access. There is a multi-sports court, table tennis, volleyball, trampolines, bouncy castle and go-karts.
In high season this campsite in France also organises sports tournaments, evening entertainment such as shows that are held on the bar terrace, a kids club six days a week, go-karts and much more. Yet venturing off the site, there are so many places to visit like a wildlife park, the sound and light shows at chateaux, quad biking, canoeing, an adventure centre, etc.
Alternatively, perhaps the historical aspects and culture are more to your liking. If that is the case, then there are cruises on the river, hot air balloon rides where you get to see the chateaux from a completely different persective, cheese and wine tasting tours, mushroom cellars, Troglodyte houses and much, much more that you will wish your family camping holiday would be much longer to take it all in!
